2023 Registration Information

We hope everyone is looking forward to the 2023 Baseball and Softball season.

STALL will once again be holding player evaluations in 2023 and dates are TBD. For registration purposes, please follow the guidelines below, and let us know if you have any questions:

*Tee Ball - Ages 5 & 6 (First year players only. If a 6 year old played Tee Ball in 2021, they should register for Coach Pitch).
*Coach Pitch - Ages 6 & 7 (Any 6 year old must have played a season of Tee Ball. Intended for first year 7 year old players).
*Machine Pitch - Ages 7 & 8 (Any 7 year old must have played a minimum of 1 season of Coaches' Pitch).
*New in 2023* Coach/Machine Pitch Softball - ages 7 & 8 - softball division for those players looking to change over to softball at an earlier age. Must have at least 1 season of Coach Pitch.
Minors Baseball/Softball - Ages 9 & 10
Majors Baseball/Softball - Ages 11 & 12

*Because STALL did not offer Tee Ball, Coach Pitch or Machine Pitch for 2020, there is an exception to the previous play requirements. Please make your best judgement on placing your child in a division accordingly. For example, if your 7 year old has never played, they should start at Coach Pitch. Also, if a 6 year old has been playing at home and is comfortable throwing, catching and hitting, but did not get to play Tee Ball last year, they can be signed up for Coach Pitch and skip Tee Ball.

For baseball leagues, League Age is determined by age as of August 31st, 2023. For example, a player with a DOB of 9/1/2010 will be considered League Age 12.

For softball leagues, League Age is determined by age as of December 31st, 2022. For example, a player with a DOB of 1/1/2010 will be considered League Age 12.

STALL uses baseball age guidelines for Tee Ball, Coaches' Pitch and Machine Pitch.

If a family would like their player to be moved up or down a division (for ages 8 and up only), please register for the approved age group and then email the STALL Board with your player's name, age and league placement request. For requests to move a player up, league placement will then be based on evaluation scores, previous coach input and a possible on field evaluation. For those players who may not be experienced or comfortable with their division based on their League Age, we will do our best to place players in the appropriate league.
